Intermediate Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Intermediate Accountant to join our compliance team. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with experience in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and internal controls who is ready to develop their career in a supportive and professional environment.

Key responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of clients across a broad range of industries, ensuring jobs are completed effectively by meeting technical standards and deadlines, within budget

• Prepare financial statements, and tax returns for companies, trusts, estates, partnerships, and various individual businesses

• Review of annual accounts, constructive feedback with the goal of improving overall delivery

• Other compliance return preparation as required

• Liaison with the IRD and other regulatory bodies

About you

• Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• 2–4 years of relevant accounting or compliance experience

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial controls

• Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel

• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities

• Professional accounting qualification or progress toward one is advantageous
